Leisure Brecksville Hike - 3x3 3+ Mi. x 3MPH

We will leave promptly at 6:45 so that we finish the hike before sundown.

Join us for a relaxed pace 3-4 mile hike by the Brecksville Nature Center/Harriet Keeler Memorial Picnic Pavilion. We will meet in the parking lot Tuesday evening.  Depending upon muddy/slippery conditions - our round trip will be from the Nature Center Wildflower Overlook area down towards Station Road Bridge.

Rating:      Easier-Intermediate due to hills, and uneven terrain.

Distance:   3 Miles, Optional mile(s) add-on, for those wanting to increase endurance

Speed:      3 mph, 20 minutes per mile.

This is a hike.  If you care for only a walk/stroll in the park, we assume the you will want to stay around the Nature Center as the flowers and birds are amazing at this time of the year.  You are welcomed to begin with us. Please bring water.

tennis shoes are fine. Not hard hiking. The 6:30 group is a little tougher.

Cindy - Pat is correct! Dark tennis shoes are the best. We hike in the woods when it isn't muddy.

Becky will be leading the hike tonight. It will start at 6:45. She will probably be going on the All Purpose Trail (APT) and the trail that follows the APT down to the CVNP Train Station.

I haven't been here yet. I usually hike in the Akron area. Is this a tennis shoes or hiking boots kind of hike? Thanks!
