Garfield Reservation Easy Peasy Rehab Hike - Iron Springs, North Ravine Trails

Description: We will be hiking the various trails of Garfield Park Reservation including the North Ravine Loop Trail and the Iron Springs Loop Trail. I will be leading this hike while recovering from yet another surgery on my femur thus this will be super slow and we will be stopping to smell the roses. This is the perfect hike for the absolute beginner and those of you nursing injuries or having disabilities of your own. I, for one, am sick of not being on the trail because of my injuries and am starting these rehab hikes so that I can enjoy the many beautiful trails in Northeast Ohio despite my current physical condition. I hope some of you will decide to come out and join me.

Distance: about 2 miles

Difficulty: Easy Peasy: Some hills but we will be taking it easy. Slow (about 2 miles per hour)

Hiking time: About 1 hour

Dogs: Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome.

Kids: Kids welcome, NOT stroller friendly

Directions: I-480… FROM THE EAST OR WEST ] exit at Broadway Ave. (Rt. 14)• turn right (northwest) on Broadway Ave.• Garfield Park Reservation entrance is on the left. For Garfield Park Nature Center turn left on Mill Creek Lane

Parking: There is a parking lot in front of the nature center.

Note: As always, we make all attempts to make these hikes as safe as possible for all involved and will not leave anyone behind. But please keep in mind your own personal abilities and remember we all hike at our own risk. The leader of this hike, Northeast Ohio Hiking Club, nor Meetup is responsible for any injuries you may sustain as a result of participating in this event. Your RSVP, means that you understand the risks possible in participating in the hike.

The +1 means I will be bringing my adorable dog: Mr. Jack Charles Blessing on the hike with me. :-)
