Description: At the southern end of Cleveland Metroparks is Hinckley Reservation, the site of the nationally-known annual return of the buzzards. Located in Hinckley Township in Medina County, the reservation is dominated by the 90-acre Hinckley Lake, enjoyed by ice fishermen in the winter months. We will be hiking the Hinckley Lake Loop Trail. This trail provides many opportunities for viewing wading birds and waterfowl as it winds around Hinckley Lake. I will be leading this hike while recovering from yet another surgery on my femur thus this will be super slow and we will be stopping to smell the roses. This is the perfect hike for the absolute beginner and those of you nursing injuries or having disabilities of your own. I, for one, am sick of not being on the trail because of my injuries and have started these rehab hikes so that I can enjoy the many beautiful trails in Northeast Ohio despite my current physical condition. I hope some of you will decide to come out and join me.
