Emerald Necklace Hikers @ Hinckley Reservation

Formally called "For Women Only" hiking series, the name is now changed to Emerald Necklace Hikers, and that means this hike is open to everyone which includes the "men" :-).

The Emerald Necklace Hikers is a naturalist led hike put on by the Cleveland Metroparks. Our naturalist is named Jenny. What is great about naturalist led hikes is all the neat things that are pointed out. If you have any questions about what you see, hear or spot on the hike feel free to ask the naturalist.

This is a LEISURELY paced hike.

Don’t feel comfortable navigating the trails on your own? Join us for this monthly hiking series to explore the trails throughout the Emerald Necklace while we get some exercise and enjoy each other’s company. This month’s hike will take us around beautiful Hinckley Lake. Trails could be slippery.

We will meet at the Hinckley Lake Boathouse parking lot.

Wear appropriate shoes (boots), yak tracks and clothing. It is winter time so expect the trails to have snow, ice, mud and whatever else winter will be dishing out. Tennis shoes are NOT a good idea when walking on trails in the winter. Please use common sense. Everyone is responsible for hiking at their own risk and knows how much they can handle.

    • Colleen

Unfortunately no. I have asked that same question. However Cleveland metroparks has some up coming dog hikes: Paws at PawPaw February 16 from 2:30-400pm and Towpath Dog Walk February 23 from 9:30-10:30am. Please check the Cleveland Metroparks website and look at the Events Calendar.

Hello everyone, I am unable to attend this hike on Saturday. This hike is lead by a naturalist from the Cleveland Metroparks. So there will be a person to lead this hike. Her name is Jenny. Please meet at the boat house and look for a kiosk. There is a map kiosk located off the main dock. The kiosk is located between the boat house and restrooms. The hike will take place on the inner trail of Hinckley lake and will circle the lake. Please wear appropriate foot ware and tracks if you have them. Snow may be compacted and ice is possible. Thank you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
