Easy Peasy Hike: Bridal Veil Falls and Tinker's Creek Gorge

Join us for an easy hike with a big-view payoff: enjoy cascades and waterfalls on the way to Ohio's grandest canyon, nearly 200 feet deep.

Length: 2 miles

Difficulty: Easy Peasy, we will be walking at an easy pace, stopping to take in views, take pictures and otherwise enjoy our time on the trail. This is the perfect hike for beginners, those with physical challenges and anyone looking for a relaxed hike without the pressure of keeping up.

Kids: NOT stroller friendly, otherwise kids are welcome

Dogs: Leashed, friendly dogs are welcome

Directions: From I-480 East, take I-271 south to Exit 23/Broadway Avenue/Forbes Road and then right onto Broadway. Turn left on Bedford Chagrin Parkway/Egbert Road and make a quick right onto Cleveland Metro Parkway. Head west about 2 miles to the parking area for Bridal Veil Falls Overlook, on the left.

If it keeps raining, the falls should be very nice. Does anyone know if the trail is likely to have deep/sticky clay mud because of the thaw/rain?

    1 · April 3, 2014

    • Liz B

Carla I am going to try to pre-hike it Saturday to check out the trail conditions etc. I am expecting there to be mud but I will update after I pre-hike.

Trail was muddy but not horrible when I hiked it yesterday. Don't wear shoes/pants that you car about getting muddy but other then that trail is ready for us.

I'm confused. is this hike march 29 or april 6?

    March 29, 2014

    • Liz B

It is April 6th. Sent out an email with the date change a few days ago. Due to the proposed snow/ice we are supposed to get today the date was changed.

    • Liz B

Definitely Judi! Just waiting for this darn weather to warm up and I'll start posting evening and weekend Easy Peasy hikes more often.
