What am I needing to start "hiking", anyway? I figure just pants/shirt/shoes? Do you need any of the fancy gear to get started? No idea, that's why I'm asking...

Pretty much any shoes with some tread that will stay comfortable for an hour and a half are fine. Jeans, a t-shirt, and maybe a light flannel shirt or windbreaker if it's cool. See you soon!
