Hike the Ledges and Pine Grove Trails

This hike, located in the town of Boston Heights, is one of Cuyahoga Valley National Park's most interesting areas due to its spectacular sandstone ledges. It takes us to Ice Box Cave and Ritchie Ledges, Happy Days Visitor Center, and the Pine Grove Trail. There are several hills and steps to climb on this hike.

We will meet at the Happy Days Lodge Parking Lot off Rt 303 at 2:00 (follow the sign for the parking area which is across the street from the Lodge).

PLEASE NOTE - This parking lot is 2 miles EAST of Peninsula.  If you use GPS, make sure you enter 500 West 303 or you'll end up in Richfield (about 5 miles West of the parking lot).

Distance: 5 miles

Rating: Moderate

After the hike, we will be meeting at the Winking Lizard in downtown Peninsula at approximately 4:00 for food and spirits!

Any questions please call Donna at[masked]

*  As everyone is expected to hike at their own pace, it is highly recommended that you bring a printed copy of a map of the Ledges and Pine Grove trails to take with you.  The map can be found by clicking on the website below.

The light drizzle glistening on the colorful leaves making them ever more vibrant made this a perfect crisp fall day... Great company and conversations as well...

I will sort of be at this hike. My Mom and sister-in-law will be with me, but we're taking an easier route. Hopefully, we'll finish the same time and join you at the W Lizard.

The Lizard does not take reservations (except for a party). So far, we have not had trouble getting tables and only had to wait 10 - 20 minutes at the most! However, if anyone is arriving just for the meal, they can give me a call and ask how many are expected and they can get the tables ready for us.
