This area is part of the Summit County Metroparks within the CVNP, so the trail is a little more maintained/less rugged than the Buckeye or bridle trails. This 4.2-mile hike includes notable elevation changes and is rated by the Park Service as difficult... but we'll travel it so that we descend the steepest flights of stairs, which will allow our uphills to be on lengthier, more gradual inclines--making it more of a moderate hike overall as there are still steep hills, but level trail in between.
The trailhead is located on Akron-Peninsula Rd, south of Route 303... south of Steels Corners Rd. (You might see another entrance... on Steels Corners or Bath... That's not it. Use the one around the corner on Akron-Peninsula Rd).
If you arrive after we've started hiking and would like to catch up, we'll be traveling clockwise (left from the parking lot) and completing a figure 8 of the two trails.
