I would like this better in colder weather. Hmm. Something to aspire to next year! 20 miles!

So is anyone else from this group signed up yet? Come on people. This hike gives you enough story material to last a year. You can enthrall fellow hikers with the extreme fun and torture that you endured.

If anyone would like to more info on this meetup, please like us on Facebook at facebook.com/eggshike. ATTN: event organizers, you can copy any and all info to this meetup from the Facebook page at your discretion. We are expecting a large turn out this year, so please keep this site as a "save the date" until registration opens online, and at Trailfest on April 25th. Good luck to those participating, I can't wait to see you on the trail. And for those wanting a FREE weekend of camping, come on down and help volunteer and cheer on those of us crazy enough to "scramble" their EGGS!

    Debi,
Bringing friends is the best thing to do. Just make sure they go on a few of the long distance hikes I will have in another month or so, to test your gear.

Here is the GPS track of the route we did last year. This actually shows 41 miles as me and my three hiking team mates got lost and that added about about a mile. Just about everyone got lost at one point. Some for much longer than us. Just one of the challenges that we faced on this hike.
