This is NOT a beginner hike it will be up to an 8 Mile Loop 5+Hrs depending on trail conditions and breaks we will head up Ganoga Glen across the Highland Trail through the Midway Crevasse and before we descend through Glen Leigh we will stop to have lunch

Sharp Metal Foot Traction is required! If you come with just Rubber Footwear i will turn you away! You can and will fall from blunt spikes so make sure your traction is sharpened to a point! Sharp MicroSpikes will handle this trail with me leading and setting rope but Hiking Crampons are preferred

Dress WARMLY this is your warning! Cover all exposed skin things to bring include gloves, handwarmers, hat, scarf, snow pants, insulated boots, extra socks, food - sandwich, drink - thermos of something hot, snacks that dont require you to take your gloves off, something to sit on for lunch

We'll start off at RT 118 TrailHead Parking GPS[masked],[masked]

I'll be in a Silver Ford Pickup

Most excellent day with new company in our midst, meeting with Bloomsburg Quest ice climbers. Been the Rockets' Glen several times before but never explored it in this way because the ice formations were astoundingly incredible; blue formations and a "clubhouse" too. The need for ropes was unique too. A gorgeous day with splendid company and afterwards, a scrumptious meal at a local eatery.

Rick I am not available again this weekend, it is the volleyball girls night together, we meet up once a month and I am sure, I would not make it back to Scranton in time. I hope you all have a great time!!

Once again I'm working, so I can't make it. But your photos have inspired me to make the loop this week, probably tomorrow. Awesome photos on the first trip.
