Hike Salt Springs State Park

  • Salt Springs State Park

    Salt Springs Rd
    41.911580 -75.865500
    Montrose, PA (map)

    41.901733 -75.878678

  • The parking area is located at the GPS coordinates in the address above.
  • Join us for a 3.5 to 4 mile hike at Salt Springs. We will be walking along three quaint waterfalls and peer into a rocky outcrop where porcupines once made a home. The pace will be conversationally & socially comfortable. This event is also cross-posted to one other Meetup; a social group from Binghamton. Afterwards, we can dine at "Hallo Berlin", a German restaurant located about eight miles north of the park, at 55 Corbettsville Rd, Conklin, NY.

Hi! Is the parking area that we are meeting at near the main entrance to the park? Can you give more details as to where it is located - I don't have GPS...crazy, i know :)

If you copy and paste the coordinates into google maps, the location will be pin-pointed (green arrow) and then you can get directions as normal.

By the way, it's not crazy that you don't have GPS - many folks don't, I don't either - I prefer maps.

An urgent matter; a pressing concern has cropped up. With apologies I may need to cancel. Please pay particular attention to the website tonight (8 to 9 PM), if a cancellation becomes necessary. If that happens, I promise I'll post another hike similar to this one.

    I'll be there as well.

As they say in show biz, "the hike must go on." I'll be there.

I am still interested in going and my father wants to come too! I hope you can make it as well

I spent all day getting ready for this hike and I'll be there tomorrow even if I have to hike by myself. Anyone who wants to join me just show up. I have maps, compass and experience hiking. I'll lead the hike if you like.

I'm coming from Scranton. Does anyone from my area want to car pool? The driving directions look tricky and a navigator would make it easier.

"Hallo Berlin" sounds great! Too bad it's in New York State and adds to the travel time home.

Yeah, the uniqueness of German food sounds appealing...after the hike, we can all decide together as a group.

On the bright side, I-81 is very close. You could zip back home down the highway.
