Take a bike ride on the D&H with Southern Tier Bike Club

This is a guided history bike ride on the D&H Rail Trail. Ride the trail where our regions historic railroads once reined. We will start at our headquarters in Union Dale and visit some historic sites along the way. It will be a easy to moderate pace. Afterwards stay for lunch at Cable's Deli.

What a perfect day of bicycling! The weather was awesome and the trail was in great shape. I rode with some old friends and met some new people, too. Lunch at the picnic table outside the deli was a nice way to end the ride. Thanks for the interpretative tour, Lynn, and for organizing this great day out!

Hi Andrea, the ride will be approximately 19 miles. We will be on resurfaced trail for the most part. There will be two miles (it's an out and back so 4 miles) of trail that is not resurfaced and rough but fine for a mountain or hybrid bike. We leave from our headquarters and go south. This is a beautiful section of trail with great views of Stillwater Lake, Stillwater Dam and Reser-voir as well as the scenic Lackawanna River. We plan time to stop and see look at interpretative signage and explore the remains of structures that tell stories of our past. Hope you can join us!

How far will the group be going? From your headquarters north? Will the group be going on any unmaintained trail? Thank you.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
