What we’re about
The Northeast Pilots Group (NEPG) is a resource for pilots and those who may be interested in becoming pilots in New England and surrounding areas. We feature a wide variety of fun and exciting fly-in events and informative safety seminars throughout the year. Our goals include bringing aviation enthusiasts together and introducing newcomers to the exciting world of aviation. Check out the site and stop by for our area get-togethers. We'd like to meet you!
We were established in 2006 and the group is now reborn as NEPG 2.0. Let's go flying!

The Northeast Pilot's Group (NEPG) was founded in 2006, over 18 years ago. It became a very active flying community, sponsoring fly-in events such as whale watches, holiday strolls on Nantucket, and visits to an exotic animal farm on Block Island. Often, we had as many as 50 people meetup at our events and fly-out events were planned for every single weekend! We've made great friends and even hosted a fly-in wedding. Unfortunately, things came a stand-still after COVID and the group was almost disbanded as the last Meetup was over a year ago, but we are back! Flying is more than just our relationship with our airplanes. It's about the relationships and common purpose we have in enjoying our hard-earned freedom to fly. We intend to return NEPG to its former glory and also invite the most recent licensed pilots to join us as we plan fly-out events throughout the Northeast so that we can actually MEETUP with one another, rather just discuss aviation on Facebook. We intend to ressurect the "No Pilot Left Behind" motto popularized by our group's founder, Clark Burgard. Whether you are a pilot or not, if you don't have access to an airplane and want to join us, post a comment and hopefully someone nearby with an extra seat will invite you along for the ride!
What better way to revive this Meetup group than to host a fly-out to an aviation expo which supports an important cause and to support a brand new aviation themed diner on the field at Southbridge, MA (3B0).
Flight4CF is an organization which sponsors New England aviation events and airshows to support research into a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. They have organized an aviation expo which will take place at the Southbridge airport (3B0) on May 4th from 10:00am - 4:00pm. This event will feature static aircraft displays, military aircraft, an RC airplane demonstration, raffles, a live DJ, and the opening of a brand new aviation-themed restaurant!
Join us to support this fantastic event and also help this new restaurant get their start: The Flight Deck. The new restaurant has been very active on social media and you can witness all of the work they are putting into this aviation-themed restaurant/diner online. We need to support these ventures so that there are places to fly and dine in the future.
Let's meet at The Flight Deck at 10:00am SHARP. Ask for the NEPG when you come in and we can all be seated together. I will do my best to reserve seating for the number of people that RSVP here, so be sure to honor or cancel your RSVP accordingly.
Please note that runway will be NOTAM'ed as closed during the RC airplane demos and that is expected to take place between 12pm - 2pm, so plan on departing after 2pm. In addition, if you have an airplane that you'd like to put on static display, please reach out to Rich, the founder of Flight4CF. He'd love to be able to feature your aircraft. Remember, this is for a good cause!
Let's break out of the COVID doldrums and bring this prolific group back to life. If this event is successful for NEPG, we will plan more meetups and make this the premier aviation meetup group it once was.
