Plainville Wings and Wheels (4B8)

Last year, on July 1, 2012, the first annual Plainville Wings and Wheels Fly-In and Car Show was held. On June 2, 2013, the second annual event will take place.

The second goal is to bring the residents of our Plainville and surrounding towns together and offer a day of entertainment and family fun with opportunities to see and experience the world of flight and classic automobiles.

The event will be held on Sunday June 2, 2013 with a rain date of Sunday June 9, 2013. The Fly-In and Car Show and will run from 10am to 3pm. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for kids 5-11 and kids under 5 are no charge. Parking for the event is free.

I got there late, just when vendors were closing shop. It was a busy day, but I did meet up with a friend and good eats at J. Timothy. Then I had to wait an hour for storms to clear to the North. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet with other members

This is more wheel's than wings. Even though it's on an airport, aviation is an afterthought. The staff was very very helpful and friendly. The food vendors were understaffed and undertrained. They had no ice for my coke.

I'll have a car in the show car field. Look for the turquoise 1962 Chevy wagon (picture in the gallery on the wheels/wings website) or send me an e-mail and I can provide my cell number.
