Things with Wings: Planes and Quilts

Here's an event that may be one of those rare opportunities which both you and your non-pilot spouse find truly interesting! My wife, Jackie, is organizing a plane-themed quilt exhibit at the New England Air Museum. The event runs from September 17 - September 23. Click here to find out more information.

The New England Air Museum has a spectacular collection of aircraft and related artifacts, the largest in New England, and the quilts will be equally impressive. Don't miss this unique event!

Let's plan on meeting at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 22. I've never actually parked at KBDL, but I think Signature Flight Support is the best option. The museum appears to be within walking distance along the perimeter road past the approach end of runway 15. If anyone has a better suggestion, please let me know.

If you need a ride from Signature Flight Support, call my cell at (860)[masked] and I will shuttle you to/from the museum.

Acknowledging that I do have a biased opinion since my wife organized the quilt show (although also stating that it doesn't influence what I'm about to say) ... The quilt show / air museum combination was a great idea! Typical feedback was that there were plenty of things of interest to both quilting and non-quilting enthusiasts. If you missed yesterday, fear not, the show ends today so stop by if you can!

Sorry Carrie. My wife tells me the deadline for entering quilts has passed. In fact, sounds like they have more than enough for the display ... But will squeeze them in. Hope to see you there!
