Introduction

I like to associate with aviation types. They tend to be very cool people. Networking with like-minded people allows me to learn or teach, or just have fun.

What are some of your interests in aviation or other hobbies?

I like to fly to Oshkosh every year for the airshow. I participate in the airshow by flying in the homebuilt review, we do two showcase passes down the runway in front of about 50,000 people to display the variety of machines that can be built.

Do you own or rent?

I own an experimental LongEZ. What is that? It's the same plane John Denver was killed in. Am I crazy? No. Is it fun? Hell yeah, it does 200MPH. KHVN to KIAG in 2 hours. I also now own a Velocity SE FG. I'm partial to canard winged aircraft.

Are you a certified pilot? If so, what certificate(s) and rating(s) do you hold?

Private pilot SEL. 30 hours instrument training. Unusual attitude and stall/spin awareness training. Aerobatics training in Super Decathlon and Pitts S2. Tail wheel endorsement. I have over 700 hours total PIC time and over 400 hours in the LongEZ.

What is your homebase airport (if any)?

New Haven, KHVN

Are you a member of our sister group Animal Rescue Flights?
