Do you own a Raspberry Pi?

Have you used an Arduino or other small microcontroller?

No but I just bought an UNO from Adafruit and look forward to testing it out.

Do you program? What languge(s)?

I'm a novice Python programmer and I used to be a helluva basic programmer. And I rocked Fortran in undergrad (Michigan still taught that in the 90's, I'm not _that_ old)

Do you build circuits?

I solder but not terribly well as of yet.

Do you see the Rasberry Pi as (a) a sort of small tablet/mobile computer (b) a headless hardware controller (c) some other wacky thing (d) that's the Big Question, isn't it?

I see it as a device with limitless possibilities. I've set mine up as a media center, a desktop, a temperature logger, and a motion sensing light controller.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer by background but I love all things electronic. I wrote my first computer program on a Commodore Vic 20 and saved it to a tape drive.
