I've been reading about those interested in the MITA trail. I've been doing it for six years; started around Boothbay and worked my way up to the Bay of Fundy. I wonder if anyone would be interested in going out into the ocean, island to island, for 5-6 days sometime this summer, August probably?

We went Saturday (noon to 1:30 pm). Lots of nice boats on display. Rita bought a new MTI PFD she liked (15% off). The show wasn't quite as big as I was hoping. I would have expected more vendors for a "New England" show. Very nice pool and demo setup. We had a chance to meet the folks from the "Maine Island Trail Association" and get a membership. Looking forward to exploring along the Maine coast this season. All in all, a decent show. Nice drive out to Durham from Lincoln NH and a good inexpensive "Fish and Chips" lunch at The Weathervane Restaurant on Rt 202 in Chichester.
If anyone is interested in doing some kayak/camping in NH/ME/VT don't hesitate to say hello (Pawtuckaway, Umbagog, Aziscohos, Rangeley Lakes, Moosehead). Hoping Rita is going to join me this season, but camping is not one of her favorite activities. Kayaking? "Yes'”...Sleeping on the hard ground? "Me no like!” Still, miracles do happen.

Hi Lee and Rita, I have a camp in Thornton Gore/No Woodstock and wonder if you'd ever like to meet up for a kayak or hike? I am often up there in the summer and head over to Mirror Lake, Newfound, or Russell Pond. Would be interested in some hiking too this summer.

Didn't seem to be as many vendors as past years.

I went Sunday am and went to 3 classes. Very informative. And I spent a lot of time with Suzanne Hutchenson. Wonderful lady! I bought some articles of clothing, I will eventually get a dry suit, but I did buy a werner's paddle. Some other gear too. Getting very excited about this!

We're going today, Saturday April 20th. Will be there about noon. Checking out PFD's for Rita. I'll let you know what we thought of the show later (and upgrade the required rating at that time). Never been to this show and looking forward to it. -Lee

I would suggest either the visitor center which is right next to the parking lot or The Dairy barn which is a cute little eatery/ Amtrak station across from the field house.

I have changed my time for arrival to the show on Sunday to 9:45am as I want to attend the session "How to chose a Kayak.". 10-11. Go to the site to see the schedule. There are 3 different hour long sessions each hour until 2:45p. There are more sessions, longer day, Saturday and if I was available that would have been my day of choice. People should go to what's best for them. The agenda also says seating is limited so be on time, ya, from this horse's mouth it's kinda funny! See you there!
