A beautiful day on the water with a great bunch of people (even if my paddle was upside down-oops, new fangled fancy gear!), my thanks to the people who initiated the event.

Another great day on the water and WOW in response to CCKC's comment...I'm speechless...and should remain that way.

I echo your comments, Alice. Everyone I talked to throughout the day had a good time on the water. This group has some of the best folks on Meet-Up, and the guides are great.

problem was not with the group event host/leaders, but that some folks were impatient and didn't wait for the group to be able to gather and start all together, after the large boy scout group. We don't own the canoe launch, sometimes ya have to share with others.

Ive been on this lake many times and you can use any kayak, skirt or not to go anywhere. Ive seen the rentals on both ends and every type of kayak at all points there. You can also rent from Mountain Road trading post for$35/ day but you will have to put it on your car to get to the park.

However I believe the kayaks they rent at the resort are for using in the bay only no skirts that i saw.
im checking into another place near bye to get sea kayak to bring in to cruise around islands.
