We organizers of NE Seacoast Paddlers group would like to ask you to be considerate whe you decide not to attend an event you RSVP'd for and to please change your RSVP to NO if you decide not to attend. A recent event only had 3 people show up even though 19 had still had their RSVP as YES. I know bad weather can be a factor in not attending but in this case it's even more important to change your RSVP so the organizers can decide whether to cancel the event or not. We appreciate your efforts in doing this.
Also if people ask what group we are please tell them New England Seacoast Paddlers or NE Seacoast Paddlers and give them the name of our web site a NESeacoastPaddlers.org . Although we use Meetup as our home for electronic communications telling people who ask that we are a Meetup group is not the best way to distribute our group name. We were around long before Meetup even existed and our communication before web based systems like yahoo groups and Meetup was done by email lists. We love what Meetup offers us but our group is more than just another Meetup Group. We are New England Seacoast Paddlers at NESeacoastPaddlers.org
Thank You and we look forward to seeing you all on the water
Your friendly New England Seacoast Paddlers Organizers
This Paddling Group was created for New England Seacoast based kayakers, canoeists, rafters, or anyone interested in paddling to get together to paddle as well as to share paddling related information. Trips and events will take place mostly near or along the Seacoasts of MA, NH & ME but are not limited to these areas. Inland lakes and river paddling trips and events are welcome to be posted here. Inland lakes and river trips and events will occur more often in the spring and fall months.
All trips or events with this group will by default use the Common Adventure Model. For more info on CAM see the link below or go to the Message Board. Please read the "Message Board" for other impotant information as well as "About Us" for useful safety information and great paddling locations.
