There is no shortage of ideas on how to live a healthy lifestyle, and there are many paths to health and longevity. No matter what path you take, it seems the hardest part is finding other like-minded people to walk the path with you. That’s why the Healthy Lifestyles Group was started.
Here in northeastern Wisconsin, maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. Long, cold winters mean less availability of fresh, local produce and also seem to stimulate our desire for heavy, fatty comfort foods that leave us feeling sluggish.
This is why it is so important for us to have the support of other local people who are facing the same challenges.
As a group, we will share healthy homemade foods and recipes with each other, visit area restaurants with healthy options, share open discussions on multiple health-related topics, invite speakers with experience and expertise on healthy living, and participate in activities that improve our health, such as walking, hiking, food preparation and yoga. We’ll explore multiple paths to a healthy lifestyle such as raw foods, whole foods, mindfulness, regular physical activity and other daily habits.
