Fall Harvest Potluck

Let's celebrate the fall harvest with a potluck!

We'll share delicious, healthy foods, enjoy great conversation and support one another on our healthful journeys.

Please bring a raw dish to pass. Since it's the local harvest season, if you can bring foods that feature local, in-season foods that would be great! If not, that's fine too. Feel free to try one of the recipes shared in the recipes section of the Message Board. If you are new to raw foods or just don't have the time to prepare, simply bring some raw fruits or vegetables. We can never get enough of those!

This is a free event. However, we will be asking for donations to make to the church for use of the facility. Any amount you can spare would be appreciated. We hope to donate around $30 or so for "rent".

As always, please note that, though we are meeting in a church and several of us are Christians, this is NOT a religion-based group. Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith or lack thereof. No one will try to convert you or push their faith on you. Our focus will be on raw food and physical health. That is our common focus and that is what brings us together.

Great food and wonderful conversation as always. Even with 9 people, this group has an intimate feel. I always love listening to the great stories people share.

I recently joined and attended my first potluck this summer and my first experience was of non-judgemental and unconcern over my food lifestyle apart from the potluck. I plan to be at the nest meet-up. I am probably 40% raw foodist, 40% cooked vege, 10% fruit, 5% grains, and 5% other food items.

Sorry to hear you won't be there.
FYI: I believe the majority of the members of this group are not 100% raw foodists. Most just want to improve their diets by adding more raw foods. It doesn't necessarily have to be an all or nothing lifestyle change.
So (and this applies to all members), please don't feel that you can not attend or participate in our events if you are not "committed" to a raw lifestyle. These are for anyone interested in improving health and the affects raw foods can have.
