Hello Ladies: We have the opportunity for 6 members to exhibit their photography during the month of August 2013. It will be on a first come first serve basis. Whoever signs up must meet together to determine how you will organize the Exhibit for that month. I would suggest you designate one person to be the contact person for communication purposes. Please understand Gigi and I have made the initial contact but will not be responsible for further communication within the group or with the City Hall and the Recreation Center. That will be up to the people who sign up. The information is below. The members who sign up for this meetup will be responsible for the details of this exhibit. Please visit the site and read the details below to decide if you really do want to be involved. Thanks for understanding. We have a great reputation with the City Hall Group Exhibit! They saw that our exhibit was of professional quality. Hopefully we will continue to impress them with our quality art and actions.

Re: Cedar Hills Recreation Center
We are excited to show your artwork in the main corridor of the Cedar Hills Recreation Center, 11640 SW Parkway Portland, OR 97225 during the months of August . The Cedar Hills Recreation Center is located on the corner of Cedar Hills Blvd and Parkway.
The Recreation Center can accommodate approximately 25 works. The works must be framed with wire across the back. It is helpful if you have your wire attached to eye hooks that are a minimum of ½” wide. Hanging wires can then be “hooked” to your two eye hooks. However, if you do not have eye hooks that will accommodate the hooks in our system, you may hang your work with one hanging wire “hooked” to the center of the wire across the back of your work.
If you would like to look at the Arakawa Art Hanging System, visit www.arakawagrip.com/. It might give you a better idea of what you will be working with.
Artists are responsible for hanging their own work. We recommend that you bring a friend with you to help you hang your work. There are no staff people available from the Recreation Center or Arts Commission to assist. You may ask for a step stool or ladder from the Recreation office when you arrive.
Please bring with you:
Your 15-25 artworks (must have wire across the back for hanging, no saw-tooth hangers). The total number per each memer who joins this exhibit will be determined by the group who sign up.
A framed one-page biography/artist statement/mission statement (optional, may be hung next to your artwork.)
A list of your works with your titles and prices. The list goes to the receptionist at the CHRC information counter. Please also email or mail me a copy of your list, as well.
Your completed BAC title cards (with your name, title of work and price or “NFS” if not for sale). .
Please call the Center directly to schedule your hanging time. [masked]-6340.

Any sales during your show at the Cedar Hills Recreation Center Gallery are between you and the buyer. I will refer potential purchasers to you when they call the office. The Commission does not consign these works so we do not have a contract, we do not take a commission and we do not take liability for the works. The Cedar Hills Recreation Center does not take a commission or liability for the work either, but will make every effort to ensure the safety and security of your work while on exhibition. The program has been operating for over two years now and we have not had any issues with vandalism or theft.
Thank you for your participation in our “Cedar Hills Recreation Center Gallery” program.
