The Holidays are upon us and we have nothing on the books for a photo shoot!
Pittock Mansion is a fun place to go and has some opportunities for photos; however since it is indoors and they do not allow tripods, it can be challenging. But that said, several of us have been and gotten some good shots, plus the grounds outside of the mansion overlook the city, so on a good weather day, you can get some great shots even of Mt Hood.
Each year volunteers and professional designers lend their time and talents to transform the museum into a holiday wonderland. From professional artisans honing their skills to Portland’s do-it-yourselfers, more than 80 volunteers will make this locally-made exhibit extra creative. In addition to the stunning decorations, shoppers will find unique holiday decorations, jewelry, books, toys, and more in the Museum Store
Admission is free for members, $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (65+), $7 for youth (ages 6 – 18), and free for children ages 5 and younger.

It would be great to have a get-together after the visit to the mansion and a gift exchange where we bring a wrapped 8 by 10/11 with a matting and frame. For those who want to participate, we would draw numbers and pick our gift in the order of the numbers we drew. We have done this two or three times in the past, and its lots of fun!
