Hello Ladies, I have been asked a couple of times about where the information about framing was. I posted it orginally on the Electronic Sign up sheet which is on the calendar in January of 2012. In hindsight that is really not the best place to post it because nobody is looking that far ahead for the information. So I am posting it again in Discussions under Exhibit Information also and am sending this email with the information
All print submissions must be 8” by 12” or 10" by 10" for square images. We have suggested printing at Cirrus, but for this first submission, Costco is acceptable. Final print size will be determined by the photographer and the Exhibit coordinators, Gigi and Rae Lynn. We have various areas and some require larger prints. Please submit all photos in a large envelope. We will provide you with a form to attach to the envelope. On this form you will include your name, email address, title of the image/s, the category you want to submitt your image to, and the size of the image you ultimately would like to print. You may submit the one "unjudged photo" from April 29th to June 30th. When you submit the 1st photo, you must also pay the $5 fee for miscelleneous expenses needed to plan and put on the exhibit.
The three other photos (that will be juried or voted on) should also be submitted in a large envelope (we will provide it.) from June 1st to July 21st.(form attached as above). All photos must be submitted in person and you should receive a receipt for your submissions. Please title all photos!
We have some good news on the cost of framing. Gigi and I went to both Frame Centrals.
It turns out that the Frame Central on near Cirrus on Macadam is considerably less expensive that the one located in Yeon Blvd. See prices below. These prices include the frame, matting and the work will be done by the shop! The matting can be cut to any size and the price is the same except if there is more than one opening.
Size Macadam store
Extra opening $4. $5
The frame we chose is about 1 1//2 inches wide and is black.
