Good News! We got over 80 images submitted for judging and we have 29 images submitted that will be in the exhibit without judging! It is quite exciting to see all the entries. We had 12 people helping to prepare these images for the judging at the meetup today! Thank you for the help!
We had a great meeting today. We numbered all the images and marked the cover sheet and rating sheet with the same number. Thank you everyone who helped.
The Jury will meet July 30th to rate the images. We will announce the results on August 4th. I hope you will join us. At that time we will try to give you the size we need you to print your image in. We will take into consideration your preferece and as best we can we will honor that preference.
We decided as a group to go with both black and white matting, and while we will give the photographer a choice as much as possible; however, if there is a problem with regards to aesthetics, Gigi and I will make the final decision.
We have a lot of progress so far and now we have to get these images printed and framed!
Thanks so much for your participation and for your support!
Once the jury makes their recommendations and we have announced the results and decided on sizes for printing, we will give you a two week time period to turn in your photos on flash drives to the printer.
You must honor that deadline, or your images will not be able to be in the exhibit. The printer will print all at the same time, so we cannot have some members holding up the printing of all the others. Cirrus will accept cash, checks, or credit cards. They will write only one invoice for the whole group though.
I am not sure abou the framer yet. I will let you know that as soon as I can. Okay. See you Soon! Rae Lynn
