Thinking of having a Saturday or Sunday Meetup at Maple Grove Cemetery in Queens

This cemetery is a 65-acre cemetery right off of Queens Blvd.  If we decide to explore this cemetery, it would probably be easiest to meet at the Queens Blvd entrance.  This is a gem of a cemetery, on the National Register of Historic Places.  It has a beautiful fountain on the grounds (full of ducks, geese and turtles!) and "story stones" sprinkled throughout the cemetery telling the history of those buried there and of the borough itself. Jacob Riis' wife is one of the well-known people who are buried in Maple Grove.

Let me know what you think.  Saturday or Sunday and if you would like Maple Grove as a destination.

Yes, from Manhattan you can take either the "E" or the "F" train to Union Turnpike. If we want to meet at Queens Blvd. entrance, you only need to walk along Queens Blvd. to find the cemetery. The other entrance is around the corner on Kew Gardens Road and Lefferts Blvd.

Is it accessible by public transportation (from Manhattan)?

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
