GREYHOUND RACING PROTEST
 
WHEN:   Saturday, February 23, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
 
WHERE:  Orange Park Racetrack
                455 Park Street, Orange Park (park across street from facility)
 
 
WHY:      The protest is about the inhumane treatment of greyhounds. Greyhounds are confined in small cages barely large enough for them to stand up or turn around.  Hundreds of dogs are kept in warehouse-style kennels at each track.  Also, greyhounds suffer serious injuries, are killed when they are no longer profitable, trained using live animals and are, many times injected with steroids and/or cocaine.
