Acoustic Music Meetup @Mannion's

The fun continues!!!

Join us for another acoustic jam at Mannion's. This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night.

We will be meeting on the ground floor in the side room. Look for the folks with the musical instruments.

Mannion's serves delicious food and has a nice selection of beers. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until they kick us out--usually around 11. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving setlist for this meetup--see the link in the left-hand column of our site. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi-permantant" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over five hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the setlist, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section (see the link in the left-hand column of the site), then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below.

It was a lot of fun. A group of good musicians who obviously love music.

Great to see a bunch of new faces, even though a bunch of regulars were missed. Highlight tunes were an exceptional "Last Chance for Mary Jane", "Creeque Alley" and even a decent take of "I Saw Bo Diddley" without Steve to lead us. Kudos to Ed for running a smooth ship!

So that means "Ripple", right? And "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", and "I'll Fly Away" (Hey Mary!), and if Tom comes, I have his harp collection; maybe he can take a shot at "Heart Of Gold"...?

Looks like maybe a smaller group this week. It's like the boutique version of NJAMP. Can we add "Heart of Gold". Hope a harp player can lead us in.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
