Acoustic Music Meetup @Mannion's

The fun continues!!!

Join us for another acoustic jam at Mannion's. This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night.

We will be meeting on the ground floor in the side room. Look for the folks with the musical instruments.

Mannion's serves delicious food and has a nice selection of beers. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until they kick us out--usually around 11. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving setlist for this meetup--see the link in the left-hand column of our site. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi-permantant" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over five hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the setlist, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section (see the link in the left-hand column of the site), then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below.

Joe Higgins is a great singer/songwriter. "When The Crowd Thins Out" was aptly played after the crowd thinned out.

Luvin' Joe's new songs; can I steal "Cowboys"? Would fit right in to the horse show sets! More fun to sing it with Joe, though! Had a great time, including missing dinner with Carolyn! We oughtta figure out a monthly showcase somehow; so much good stuff going on, and not enough time to co it!

Good music and good folks. "Creeque Alley" and "The Voice" sounded great! A few shaky riddims and tempos on some songs. Nice to see Joes Brice and Higgins show up! The new Higgs songs are fantastic, as you would expect. Alan's got the "Nights in White Satin" solo down on his alto recorder.

Silly me. What was I thinking? I have other places to be and things to do. Maybe, just maybe, I can make it later in the nite

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
