Acoustic Music Meetup @Mannion's

The fun continues!!!

Join us for another acoustic jam at Mannion's. This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night.

We will be meeting on the ground floor in the side room. Look for the folks with the musical instruments.

Mannion's serves delicious food and has a nice selection of beers. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until they kick us out--usually around 11. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving setlist for this meetup--see the link in the left-hand column of our site. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi-permanent" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over five hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the setlist, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section (see the link in the left-hand column of the site), then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below.

    Jay,
They have 3 stores. The Flemington store is a bit north of the Flemington circle on 31, across from Lowes. Great people!

Winter time, all the chickens come home to roost. Every week is crowded now, and that usually means the energy level is high, high, high! Lot's of energy = Lot's of fun.

    Good times.

Hi FiL, can I put He Ain't Heavy to the side for now? Forgot how high in the register that is. Added Dreadful Wind and Rain, much easier to work with for all.

      Done.

Not for this session, but perhaps a part of a future British Invasion set, could segue from Love Potion #9 to Laugh, Laugh, by the Beau Brummels . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_GeYgT58d0

Did I hear someone say "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues"? Let's head for Juarez! And I'm having a "Pancho and Lefty" craving, and we haven't done "John Barleycorn" in ages! How's that, Andy?

Andy, all you have to do is write up the songs and post them to the "Files" section of our website (See "Song Files" link in left column). We also have a shared Dropbox folder with many more songs. Send me an email through my profile page if you want access to that.
