Acoustic Music Meetup @Mannion's

Join us for another acoustic jam at Mannion's! This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night.

We will be meeting on the ground floor in the side room. Look for the folks with the musical instruments.

Mannion's serves delicious food and has a nice selection of beers. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until they kick us out--usually around 11. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving setlist for this meetup. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi-permanent" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over fourteen hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the setlist, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section or added to our shared Dropbox folder, then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below.

Yeah! I love this group. There's a feeling of belonging and togetherness that's rare today. For me, music has the magical power to pierce the mind and reach deep into the soul.

Smaller group than usual, but man did it kick up a few notches on some tunes. Baby I Love Your Ways was killer and it ran strong to the end of the night. Lots of fun. And congrats to Alan and Jim for starting NJAMP five years ago on this date ! We were commenting on how many groups have formed as a result and how everyone's musicianship has improved since getting involved. THANKS !

Alan and Jim have a lot to be proud of! Joining this group was one of the best things I've done, and I suspect there are a lot of people who feel the same way. We have all grown in many ways since joining this group

I agree with Dan. Joining NJAMP is one of the best things I have done. It has greatly helped my playing and introduced me to a great group of people.

My current plan is to come after dinner ... I have a few musical projects I hope to get done first that I won't have time for in the next three days otherwise. I was going to request "No Matter What" but Nickster beat me to it, so I'd be so happy if you could hold that till I get there.

The ones that came to my mind were Weird Al's "Like a Surgeon" and that Jonathan Coulton zombie song. Both very me and very un-Mannion's.
