Acoustic Music Meetup @Mannion's

Join us for another acoustic jam at Mannion's! This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night.

We will be meeting on the ground floor in the side room. Look for the folks with the musical instruments.

Mannion's serves delicious food and has a nice selection of beers. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until they kick us out--usually around 11. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving setlist for this meetup. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi-permanent" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over fourteen hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the setlist, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section or added to our shared Dropbox folder, then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below.

Enough with the wizeass comments Mr. Mark. Remember that eternal Hell is an endless loop of "Muskrat Love" [Tiny Tim version......LIVE!!!!]; [or dead].

Good to be back after missing more than 4 months. Miss the minions of Mannion's.

(So long as it doesn't end up being millions of minions of Mannion's ... mini minions is better.)

Seemed like "...we sang every song that driver knew". Great road trip. Thank you, Alan, for driving and for the fantastic bass that adds so much. I feel very lucky to have found NJAMP. Singing and playing together this music with such camaraderie is just plain fun.

Well, we certainly were not hampered by the short set list! No "Muskrat Love" was required. Whole lotta Beatles love happened first, a little Van Morrison love, and some Mamas & Papas ... followed by way too much other great stuff to remember. I gotta start tracking the songs we play somehow, because a lot of those would be terrific to do again ... and I forget them all 30 seconds after we play them.

    So help me out here!

I remember "Black Water" was amazing, some fabulous harmonies there on "The Rose" at the end ... We almost didn't do "Wagon Wheel", but that was a high-energy highlight with the 8 or 10 of us left to do it.

"Little Wing" was fabulous, brilliantly led by Mary. And the Dead songs - "Must Have been the Roses" and "Uncle John's Band". Mitch, you are awesome at leading these hard songs!

"Werewolves of London" (after "Sweet Home Alabama" and dinner) was SO much fun. Early request for August 7, my next Mannion's (which also happens to be my b'day).

Oh, and "While My Musical Saw Gently Weeps" was a rockin' thing of beauty.

Let's get some suggestions on the board. I know Fil is not going but we still may be forced to play Muscrat Love (not that there is anything wrong with that).

I need a little warm-up for Beatles & Beer this weekend. How about "Eight Days a Week", "You Can't Do That", and "A Hard Days Night".
