NJAMP - South - Acoustic Music Meetup

Join us for an acoustic jam at Maloney’s Pub in Matawan, NJAMP-South. This is an inclusive jam, not an open mic. Members are encouraged to sing and play along the entire night. We will be meeting in the room behind the bar. Look for the folks with the musical instruments. We jam every other Wednesday.

Maloney’s serves delicious food and has about 100 beers on tap; it is NJ’s best craft-beer bar. Most of us take a dinner break around 7:30. After dinner, we play until 10:30 or so. Please bring cash to pay for your dinner and drinks.

There is an evolving set-list for this meetup--see the link in the left-hand column of our site. We usually get through all of the requests, most of our "semi- permanent" songs, plus about 20 more songs out of the over five hundred or so songs in our files.

If you would like to add a song to the set-list, make sure it is posted to our site in the "Files" section (see the link in the left-hand column of the site), then post your request in the "get the conversation started" section below. Members can post up to three requests.

Bob Public. Thank you and many thanks to the folks at Whispering Knoll for the invite I had a great time, and from the looks on their faces I know they had good time also. Thanks for dinner, very nice restaurant.

To Everyone Who Played At The Assisted Living Facility:

Thank you to everyone who came and performed. I know it was a drive for some of you. You made the night very special for my Mom and Dad and she feels very much like a star today. A lot of people have come up to her and said that it was the best music that they've had in a very long time and they keep asking her, "when are they coming back".

A very special thanks to Fil and Wendy for coming, you add so much to the performance, your suggestion of having the audience Howl was just perfect. Now only if we could get you to come to a Wednesday night at Maloney's soon.

    See you all soon.

Oh, gosh, Bob - thanks for the special shoutout. I'm honored you'd ask me in the first place ... especially the first time, in the winter ... I'm still so new at all this, and, you know ... not that good yet! Pretty amazing ... I get to play, with such a great group, for a live audience, ten minutes from my house (I live in Edison), then treated to a lovely meal and great outdoor summer jam ... and you're thanking *me*?! Um ... you're welcome! But really ... thank YOU!

Super, summer night. Thanks Bob for putting this together. The performance really brought out the spirit and soul of NJAMP. And as already mentioned, your generosity did not go unnoticed. Thanks ... Rock on...

    To All NJAMP South Members:

I've set up a performance at The Whispering Knoll Assisted Living Facility at:

62 James St, Edison, NJ 08820
    (732)[masked]

On Wednesday August 13th at 7:00 to 8:00 pm performance time. Please show up earlier to set up.

It's the same location as we did in the beginning of the year.

I'm trying to get a number from our group and then maybe open it up if we need more players.

I've also arranged for us to go to a local Italian Restaurant afterwards where I will be paying for a portion of a meal there and I am bringing some beer and wine. We could get there by 8:30. We can also play there for another hour or so. They have an outside sitting area that would be fun.

Please let me know if you can make the 13th for the performance and whether or not you would be coming to the restaurant.

Thank you for your interest and they are really excited about having us back.

    For Bob Publik

I know I told I'd be with you in Edison this Wednesday night. However, I learned today that a client of mine is going a major technology transformation which is taking place Wednesday night. The client asked me to participate and honestly, the client is important to my business, so I have to be there to assist. I apologize for such late notice, but I wrote/emailed this immediately after I was notified. Trust me, if I could play with you and the gang I would. But I have to decline.
