NJAMP Summer Celebration At Bob's Place

Please come and help celebrate NJAMP, we thought it might help to appear, instruments, etc. in hand, at Bob's house (Hidden River Farm) in order to have an outdoor Celebration!

Spouses, dates, friends, kids are all welcome, but no pets, please (another time, maybe!).  Also, PLEASE RSVP so we have a handle on the numbers. I would really appreciate RSVP's so I know how much stuff to have.

RAIN OR SHINE BOB HAS A TENT!

Click here to see a map of Bob's Farm them zoom in.

Moderate amps, etc are cool.

This will be a BBQ-ish affair.  We'll provide starters, entree and sides, but if anyone wants to bring something, how about something for the dessert buffet; If lots of people bring a moderate-sized dessert, we'll have tons! (This is good!) We will supply insultingly cheap wine, some beer, soft drinks, and H20; if you like something particular to drink, please BYO.

PLEASE if you have unusual dietary needs or other requirements, let us know in advance;
1 PM on the day of is too late to come up with a vegan menu!

Dress ultra casual and comfortable (it's a farm, see?).

I also apologise, but we are asking for a 10$ per head contribution to help cover costs (kids free), as it looks like this may be a pretty good-sized party. If the cover is uncomfortable, well, we'd rather have your company than the dough, so come anyhow.

Sorry, but we do reserve the right to hang onto someone's keys if they seem to have over-indulged; we have lots of places to crash, and I hate when my friends get arrested!

Spouses, dates, friends, kids are all welcome, but no pets, please (another time, maybe!).
Also, PLEASE RSVP so we have a handle on the numbers. I would really appreciate RSVP's so I know how much stuff to have.

We will probably set up two playing areas; one for larger groups, and another for more intimate endeavors.  Hope you can make it!

My cell is [masked], the house is [masked] but we're never inside...People should feel free to check directions with me; sometimes GPS sends them roundabout...TNX again!

What a great day. Thank you so much Bob. You, your family, and the NJAMP Bobstock staff really worked hard putting this together and you all created the perfect day. Relaxing and entertaining in a beautiful enviorment. The food, the music, the friendship. What an honor it is to be part of this group. It was nice to sit and talk with some old friends and to meet some new ones as well.

Bobby - you, your family, and your special team of elves sure know how to create an atmosphere fit for great experiences, and special memories. We had it made in da shade ! Awesome again Bobster ! And kudos to all (Tommy, John, mom and da cookin' Cole gals, Cecilia, etc) for putting on a top notch production. Lot's more socializing than a usual meetup, and it was great to see a bunch of new faces/talents. My back is still sore from standing & playing hours on end.Worth the pain !

This was our first time at Bob's place. We were both excited prior to the event, but let me say that nothing we imagined compared with the actuality. A choice to play or socialize, sing or listen, visit with old and new friend, this was spectacular! A very special thank you to Bob Cole and his entire family. You are blessed people, one and all!

Great party. My 1st time, but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Plus the wonderful surroundings and food/drink -- and, of course, music -- made for a very well spent day. Thanks for hosting this, Bob!

Thanks Bob for your hospitality and friendship; the food was spectacular and the setting was just serene. Thanks to all of you supplemental NJ-AMPERS who made the day work well with your hard work and organization. It was great meeting people from other NJAMP venues who I had just seen on our website. It was great sitting in the cheap seats as the night fell, the temperature dropped and the music just played on an on… it just doesn’t get any better…

Whew! THAT was quite an afternoon, huh? Can't say often enough what a great bunch of friends you all are; it's so cool to hear/see everyone performing together and just digging the hell out of doing something that they do so well! I have to tell you, the most difficult part of the afternoon was the "please no rain" dance; we have to do a couple of extra gospel songs to pay for that. It worked, though. I'd really like to thank everyone who helped get the whole thing together; Cecelia, Tom, John, Dennis, Autumn, and just all of you who helped with the setup and the cleanup (oh, yeah, that cleanup detail was not only very efficient, but also very welcome!); without all your input the whole thing really would not have been possible. Hope everyone enjoyed the day, We at Hidden River sure did! And,to quote my friend Angelo, "Rock On!

I'll be loading and acoustic and an electric amplifier in the car for anyone to use. Joe H. - I will also have your Pignose. Tommy and I are both bringing PAs, so plenty of places to plug in.

I'm bringing MILK for all the dessert (I'm sure their will be brownies, cookies, pies and I think milk would be fitting.) If anyone has preferences on Whole/ Skim, etc., I won't be leaving till 2 so let me know here.

Hey, All! Just thinkin' I think we'll try to use a regular NJAMP group sing format from 2:30 till 6:30 or 7:00 and then open the stage for individuals or groups who'd like to play with the mics and perform some acoustic numbers on their own or with a group- Buzzkillers and all! When you get here you can add your name to a basket saying what you plan to play and we'll pull slips out when the time comes and let the acoustic experience continue. Then around 7:30 or 8:00 we can open the "stage" to more electric perfomances. At all times, the back yard will be set up near the fountain for warmups, tuneups, and individual performances or collaborations. Please remember to fill out your slip when you get here if you'd like to perform a little. We're on the Honors System to not become "mic hogs"; please limit your performance to one or two songs at a time. You can always come back for more later! Hope this works for all!

There's plenty of parking, but to deal with equipment, you can pull in behind the house, unload yer stuff, and then find a place to park either along the driveway or up by the barns. If you need setup space, call me. (Tony and Bryan, I got you covered!)

OK, so I just realized that I probably should not have RSVP'ed at 12:30 AM. I looked and found that I said I would be brining Carol. Well, I doubt that she would let me do that, so I guess I will be bringing her instead. (sigh)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
