We will meet in the New Brunswick Diner, across the street from train station.

Attention all members:The Princeton Adult Asperger Syndrome Meetup Group is now part of the Global and Regional Asperger Syndrome Network (GRASP). GRASP is a non-profit national organization run by people with Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism, devoted to providing support and education to adults on the spectrum. GRASP has chapters in NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and various other cities across the nation. The Princeton Adult Asperger Syndrome Meetup Group has now been officially renamed the GRASP Central NJ Aspie Meetup Group. The meeting location is being moved as well. The Sunday, September 8th meeting will be the last one to convene at the Princeton location. Starting Sunday, October 13th, the new location will be the New Brunswick Diner, directly across from the train station in downtown New Brunswick, NJ. The new location will be accessible by NJ Transit trains from NY Penn Station, Trenton, and all stations in between. Philadelphia members will be able to reach New Brunswick via SEPTA train to Trenton, then NJ Transit train to New Brunswick. There is also a Coach USA Suburban Transit bus that leaves NY Port Authority Gate 417 and stops in East Brunswick Tower Center and downtown New Brunswick (by the train station) on its way to Princeton. Likewise, the bus from downtown Princeton to NYC stops there as well. Also, downtown New Brunswick is a hub for local NJ Transit buses in Middlesex County. For those who are driving, there are three public parking garages within the immediate vicinity of the train station and diner. One of them (on Church Street) offers free parking all day long on Sundays. For those who have extra time, there are plenty of things to do in downtown New Brunswick. There is a Barnes & Noble bookstore and café right next to the southbound train platform. Behind it is the College Avenue campus of Rutgers University. There is also an array of student oriented shops and pubs on Easton Avenue. There could not possibly be a more convenient and favorable location in central New Jersey. The meeting dates and time will continue as before: The second Sunday of every month at 1:00 pm.I highly recommend that members visit the GRASP website and sign up for the GRASP Central NJ support group. This group has not been posted yet on the GRASP website, but it will be, shortly. People signed up for GRASP will receive email bulletins and other information. I am also planning on starting a Facebook page for our group.Thank you,Your organizer,Daniel

The Church Street parking garage is located on the left side of Church Street, which is a one-way street off of Neilson Street, a block or two north of the diner. It offers free parking all day on Sundays. There are also two other parking garages within a block of the diner. The parking garage behind RWJ Fitness and Wellness offers 3 hours of free parking, after which the rate is $2 an hour. The Gateway parking garage, on Wall Street (behind the train station) charges $2 an hour. People getting off the southbound train from Penn Station should walk to the south end of the platform, past the Barnes & Noble, down the stairs, underneath the railroad overpass on Easton Avenue, and proceed across French Street (Route 27). The New Brunswick Diner will be to your right, in the direction of the Fresh Grocer supermarket and the RWJ Health and Wellness Center.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
