NJ Cloud Architects is founded on the principle of bringing together local technologists (and other interested parties) to discuss the ever changing landscape of technology, as well as the challenges that come with that change. More and more these days, The Cloud has become such an important part of infrastructure that it has become a full time job for many, and endless source of fascinating discussion.
We will meet regularly to discuss a wide variety of topics, with a general undertone leaning towards cloud computing and all of the associated technologies such as: Hadoop, Big Data, distributed computing, The Internet of Things (IoT), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
We will also feature many great speakers from industry, and currently have a lineup consisting of reps from Cloudera, Datastax, MongoDB, Amazon and hopefully Google just to name a few. We have affiliations with local universities such as NJIT and Montclair State, and hope to have regular events with these entities.
We are currently sponsored by JetBrains, and are authorized to give away a free license to 1 member at each large Meetup event (30+ attendees).
It's a fun, dynamic group and I think you'll learn a lot and meet a lot of great people, whether you're a seasoned cloud architect already, or someone who just wants to find out what it's all about.
