I can't handle drinking. If I went to one of these big beer-tasting events, I'd probably sample a few sips, then have to go to a Starbucks to sober up, then come back for some more sips, then go to the car to take a nap for 2 hours, but then the 2 hours turns into, like, 5 hours, and it's dark out. Then, I go back inside + everybody has left already.
Three Floyd's, though they haven't shipped to NJ since 2007. My all-time favorite was Bell's Expedition Stout, which I could only get by doing a trip to Shangy's. I liked Dogfish's Worldwide Stout. Also the true barleywines such as J.W. Lees + Thomas Hardy. Though I haven't seen them around in a while. Other faves were Sierra N.'s Bigfoot + Harvest + Celebration. Victory's Hop Wallop + Storm King + Yakima Gold. Rogue Brutal Bitter + Santa's. Southern Tier's Farmer's Tan + Krampus. Belhaven Wee Heavy. Young's Special London. Anderson Valley's Hop Ottin.
Nah, 12 oz. in 3 hours is my limit.
Kraft. They make a great parmesan in the plastic can - minimal aroma, mild taste. The Romano bursts with flavor.
