Air with ColdFusion.

Simon Free will be demonstrating how to hook up an AIR Application using a ColdFusion back end. He'll also be discussing best-practices for structuring the code that AIR communicates with.

Simon works at Nylon Technology as a Senior Developer and Lead Engineer on several high profile projects. These range from a start-up athlete skin care shopping cart application to a full blown CMS requiring multiple workflows for publishing and editing several types of content, to messaging and event management requiring the integration of a variety of different technologies including ColdFusion, Flex, InDesign, Air and Blaze DS / LiveCycle DS. Constantly learning, Simon is always looking for new challenges and presents those discoveries at different usergroups and conferences.

We will also be giving away a free Flex Builder 3 Pro license, however you must RSVP in order to win.

      “ Being neutral was more about me that the meetup! Had a cold and was nolonger contagious, but, clearly needed to get some downtime. Because I didn't stay until the end, I wouldn't know, but, would have liked to ask what was the feedback from developers about how the environment was much better for programming versus other solutions. Also wanted metrics on end user responses to speed and ease of the AIR enabled app versus previous solutions. ”
