New Jersey Humanist Families Network Message Board › The New Jersey Humanist Families Network Discussion Forum › NJHN Families Group looking for new event organizers
New Jersey Humanist Network is looking for new organizers for our Families Group. Our previous organizers got busier as their kids got older, and one family recently moved to Vermont! This group has 80 members, including quite a few new members, but the group has been inactive recently except for our summer picnic and HumanLight parties, which are very family-friendly.
Being an organizer can be as simple as planning a family outing for your own family and being willing to turn it into an event in which other families can join yours. It can be a museum or zoo or observatory trip, a hike or ranger-led activity at an area park, a beach cleanup, or a library science program. Or something else. NJHN will help support the group in any way we can; we already pay for the Meetup page.
If there are any parents interested in volunteering as a new organizer, please contact me (Lisa Ridge) at firstname.lastname@example.org. All ages are welcome. Most of the previous events took place in or around Central Jersey, but events could be organized in any area of the state where organizers are willing to plan them. I have also posted this to the NJHN Facebook group to see if any of those members would be interested. Thanks!
