“ So far I've attended one meeting (09/26/12) and the group impresses me as quite knowledgeable, friendly and cooperative. Given where I am at present in my journey into Linux, I see myself as able to learn a lot from the others in the group, but I think it will be quite a while before I am able to make much of a contribution myself. Update: As of 11/28/12, I've attended three meetings and as one of the least (possibly the very least) technically experienced and proficient of the group, I'm glad to say I've never experienced anyone pulling rank, despite having all the horsepower necessary to do that if so inclined. ”

“ Starting with our meeting host Nick, he's a class act and a gentlemen; fine qualities for a host.. oh yeah, and he knows a hell of a lot about GNU/linux he is more than willing to share, as is every member of the group. All were extreamly friendly and sharing and made me feel like a member from the second I walked in the door. I will also add, this is a diverse bunch in every respect, which I find to be one of the strong suits of this group; men and women(woman actually), young and old, super user to new user; bringin' it back to the true meaning of 'peer to peer' networking on a 'face to face' level creating community the old fashioned way... i like that. so get off that computer for a few hours each month( or pack it up and bring it with you) and make some interesting new friends who love all things Linux... and are a great bunch no matter how you slice it. ”
