Our monthly Linux User Group Meeting....

Please join us one week earlier (due to Thanksgiving) at our monthly evening meeting where our members help one another improve each other's enterprise, projects, computers etc.

This month's agenda:

7:00 to 7:30 Networking

7:30 to 8:00 Introductions and bye bye Linux News

8:00 to 8:05 Who's this guy RMS?

8:10 to 8:15 Who's this guy Linus?

8:25 to 8:35 Nixie and KeePass password manager

8:40 to 9:00 Coffee break - Chit Chat

9:00 -=>      What shall we do for XMas??

Though we're primarily a Linux group, all operating systems are welcome (even that Wimpdows one) as our members have Macs, iPads, iPhones, and SmartPhones as well as Linux Desktops/Laptops - so we're a great Q & A resource..

Linus was great, Richard was, well, Richard. I had been thinking about password managers, and, well, now I see why "Nixie" charges so much to review a product.

I just had to get a new laptop. Windows 8.1. I'm putting Linux Mint onto my old one to see if I can get some more life out of it (although it is clean, it has a tendency to overheat when stressed). Discovered that, at least once everything's loaded, Cinnamon looks more like XP than Windows 8 does...
