Finder and Mac Basics - Folidify App - Waze App - Home Theater Web Sites

Finder and Mac Basics - Foldify - Waze - Home Theater Web Sites

Come join us for another fun-filled and educational monthly meeting!

At our February general meeting, we will be featuring the following presentations:

This month, we're going back to the "basics" as Bruce Mittelman, Scott Alenick, and Jerry Glacken will be discussing the Finder, Mac OS X menu options, and other assorted things that every Macintosh user should know. You'll learn common Finder commands, how to move, copy, delete, duplicate, organize and get info on files as well as how to create aliases and archives, change views, set preferences and search for files. Youll also learn about the Macintosh directory structure, file menu items, tips and tricks for working faster and much much more. We'll turn you into a Finder guru. Even the seasoned Mac veterans are bound to learn some new things.

Bruce Mittelman will also give a demonstration of Foldify, the iPad App that enables you to create 3D figures, print them out and fold them from paper.

Next, Jerry Gherardi will give a demonstration of Waze, the community-based traffic and navigation app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Waze allows you to join other drivers in your area who share real-time traffic and road info, the best gas prices, and much more.

And finally, Louis Perez returns with another installment of his "Magical Mystery Tour of the Web" which presents a collection of informative and interesting Web sites related to a common topic. This month's "Tour" will focus on "Home Theater Basics, Setup and Examples".

As always, a meeting you won't want to miss! We look forward to seeing everyone there!

It sounds interesting. I'm a musician and have a Macbook Pro and do video recording of rehearsals and some gigs. Am learning!

I plan to bring a friend. Not positive he'll come, but I've told him about NJMUG & he's interested.
