Firefly Summer Solstice Hike

June 20 (Fri), Firefly Hike on the Summer Solstice, Landsdown Trail, Clinton, NJ. Join us for our annual 3-4 mile hike along the crushed gravel rail trail as we enjoy the long hours of daylight. Fireflies should be at their peak and we hope their warm glow will guide our way back. Registration required.  Email Jonathan at [masked] or call or text at[masked]-1890.  If you are bringing any food, and want to drop it off first, please arrive at Jonathan's office (27 Center St, Clinton NJ) between 7:00-7:15 PM and we'll walk over to the trailhead together.  Or if you prefer you can meet us directly at the trailhead by Fox Lumber (behind Weichert Realtors, 9 W Main St, Clinton NJ) by 7:30 PM.   Please bring water and you might want to bring insect repellent as well.  Wear comfortable walking shoes.  Afterward we’ll stop back at Jonathan’s office for wine, cheese, and dessert.

Mike and I enjoyed the evening a lot, too. The hike was a great choice for observing fireflies, which showed up abaundantly and beautifully, and the post-hike wine and tastey snacks wrapped up the evening so nicely. Thanks everyone!

Great hike. Fireflies, honeysuckle, babbling river and friendly folks.

What a wonderful evening! We had beautiful weather, abundant fireflies, great company, and delicious food. Thank you so much, Jonathan and John, for your hospitality. I hope to see all of you again at a future event!

Was lovely to meet everyone and share the path. The light show was brilliant as well. Cheers!

The Fireflies really put on a beautiful show. It was so dark on the way back and that alone was fun and worth the trip. The mingling and munchies at the after gathering was enjoyable with the very easy going and friendly group of people. Thank you John and Jonathan.

You can meet at Jonathan's office between 7:00-7:15 if you want to drop off any food or you can just meet us at the trailhead behind Weichert Realtors by 7:30. See listing for details. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight. Should be great weather but might be a little cool for summer--you may want to bring a light jacket or sweater!

You can call Jonathan at[masked] or John at[masked]-1092. Hiking boots are not necessary--it is a crushed gravel trail--but you should have comfortable walking shoes (such as sneakers).

Dear Sierrans and Friends, I received a couple of questions about Friday's hike

If you wish to park near my office and then walk over to the Fox Lumber Yard, it is at 27 Center Street. We will gather here and then head over at 7:15. Otherwise, just go to 15 West Main Street and park and we will meet you at the Trail head at 7:30. Some participants have asked if they can bring some refreshments. That would be great if you can. I will provide some wine, cheese and a dessert

A couple of you asked to bring a dog. That's fine for the hike as long as it is well behaved. If you plan to attend the get-together afterwards, my office is not large so make sure you are parked nearby so you can tend to the dog during the evening if its too hectic upstairs. Looking forward to the adventure. It was a beautiful hike last year and it promises to be fun this year as well. See you soon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
