Hacklebarney State Park is one of my favorite places to hike. The views along the river are beautiful. The date will be Sunday, September 29th at 10:00 a.m. Hiking shoes are needed for this hike. We will hike for approximately 3 miles; along the edge of the Black River and up a few inclines. This hike will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending upon how long it takes some of us to take photographs (bring your cameras!) and to take a few moments to admire the views. We will follow the red trail along the river, and then proceed to the blue trail and then to the white, which will take us back to the parking area.
We will meet at the Visitor's Center at Hacklebarney State Park in Long Valley at 10:00 a.m. Please make sure that you are physically able to climb over rocks, and feel comfortable going up several inclines. Please bring water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and your best hiking shoes. By attending this event, you are accepting responsibility that you are physically able to walk approximately 3 miles over rocky terrain.
