The Financial Aspects of Divorce Part 2: Financial Fitness Through Divorce

Divorce can be a time consuming, expensive and emotionally draining life event. Where people are forced to make financial decisions they have never made before that will likely have a significant impact on their future. They do this amidst a wide range of emotions that may make it difficult to focus and make financial decisions.

The people in our divorce support group have assembled a series of classes designed to help you make financial decisions during the divorce process. The classes are free and delivered by qualified industry professionals.

Understanding the tax implications of their settlement: alimony, child support, equitable distribution; what are the options in dealing with the marital residence, what are the tax implications of those options; social security issues in divorce. What is the difference between assets and liabilities; basic business valuation.
