Thank you so much, Gerald. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the offer. I do have to stay local though so I can get back to work & survive. I also have to get my daughter to school.... It's the only semblance of normal she has left. I am working on renting a house on the dry side of the highway so we can accomplish that. Your generosity is amazing and I so appreciate the offer. Trying to get mobile is the most difficult part but I am working on a plan to get us safe.
Thank you all so much for your offers of kindness. They are so generous & so appreciated.
Thanks,
D

Hi Danae, my name is Gerald. Im terribly sorry for your losses. I would like to help you if your interested. I have a trailer and can pick you up and take you to my home in Plymouth meeting pa where you can use my washer and dryer or where ever you would like to go within reason. I have my 6 yo son with me and 6 yo cocker spaniel. I'm a half of a block from the Plymouth police department. You could use my trailer to try to salvage what you can. Please let me know soon because I'd have to get moving. Gerald Mclaughlin[masked]

Thank you.... I heard that was eatontown.... But it might as well be Kentucky for me with my car underwater. Lol I appreciate the updates, though.... Middletown has told us nothing except JCP&L us working on power.... Which does me no good in a house full of water. Lol So thanks! FEMA keeps hanging up on me & won't give me any info so they are useless.... Nothing charity or government related has been around for any of us to try and survive this time right now..... It's very frustrating.
Hope all of you are doing ok & my best wishes to everyone for a speedy return to your lives if that is at all possible. We are trying to look forward to a new life since life as we know it is over but being optimistic that hopefully this means new good things to come.
Thanks,
D

I made this suggestion to my Facebook friends... My house is still under water.... My daughter & I are still here because we have no where else to go and we have animals. My car went under as well so we can't even get somewhere that does have power. Right now, what you can do for those of us affected that may seem small to you but is huge to us, is, if you have a working washing machine/dryer, offer to do laundry. Almost everything we own is wet, moldy and/or covered in raw sewage and we have no way to wash it. We are wet, we are cold and we don't have much..... Clean, dry, unsmelly clothes, sheets & towels would be such an amazing comfort. So if you have friends who are affected and don't know how to help, I can promise you that just doing their laundry if you are able will be a huge help. My neighborhood was destroyed by this disaster.... So many things that people take for granted are now amazing luxuries for us.... Clean clothes & hot showers.... So anything you can do to help people like us feel a little more normal and human again will mean more than you know.
