Moutainbiking - Gelderland

  • Jul 24, 2010 · 1:45 PM
  • Amsterdam Central Station

Update (19th July) This is route is mostly off road, thus using a mountain bike is recommended. It is recommended to wear a helmet while mountain biking. There is a GPS track file available on the route site mentioned below. If someone has a GPS map device you could download it & we can use it to follow the route, besides the normal route markers. I was unable to find a place to rent mountain bikes close to this route. If somebody knows of a place please post it on the event site. The plan is as mentioned before to meet either at Amsterdam or Wolfheze according to the time mentioned below. We'll take the following train 13:53 Amsterdam Centraal 5b 14:48 Ede-Wageningen 4 Change here 15:06 Ede-Wageningen 1b 15:13 Wolfheze If you are coming by car you can park at Wolfheze, though we finish at Oosterbeek it's only about 3km ride back to Wolfheze. Mountain Biking through De Hoge Veluwe forest near Arnhem.
This a mountain biking route, so basic mountain bikes are a minimum required. The route

It was really good, nice weather, nice track although sometimes difficult to follow, a GPS was a must. Hope to see you all again. Thanks. Juan.

damn, when i called earlier in the week, the rental place said they had a bike for someone my height, but now we called again to reserve one and they said they don't have a bike for me! i'm only 5'1" so i am not that surprised. i don't think there's a chance i'll find a bike to hire before 1.30pm today so i'm going to have to drop out last minute. really sorry...
