SURF, YOGA & BREATH RETREAT
Yes, together with yoga studio Helder, we're organizing a wonderful afternoon retreat for you on May 11th, featuring surfing, yoga, and a breath session. It's beautiful, relaxing, and also profound, and I'd like to invite you to join :)
With surfing and yoga by the sea, you come closer to nature and thus closer to yourself.
With a board, you ride the rhythm of the sea and try to surf on the waves. You're playing (almost literally) with the energy of the sea.
Sometimes you might go underwater for a moment, but then you resurface, spluttering. Surfing is fun, challenging, and fantastic to do.
The sea invites you to learn to ride the waves. And whether you do it lying on your belly, on your knees, or standing up, surfing together is just plain fun.
However, surfing also brings you closer to nature and closer to yourself.
You can see it as something spiritual, and that's what makes the combination with yoga so beautiful. Yoga by the sea is somehow different from indoors. With your feet in the sand, you tune into the sound of the sea, feel the wind in your hair, and completely relax.
YOGA BY THE SEA
Yoga on the beach is the perfect way to prepare your body and mind for your surfing lesson. The flexibility you gain from yoga also helps you get into the surfing position more easily. The gentle sounds of the waves and the sand under your feet help you relax and be in the moment.
During the class, we focus on breathing, body awareness, balance, flexibility, and strength; all important aspects for a pleasant surfing session. So leave all your stress and worries behind and enjoy the peace and calm that yoga on the beach offers you. After the class, you'll feel completely zen and ready to conquer the waves.
The yoga will be taught by Rachel Theuns from Helder Yoga, while Natasha Smit from Tasha’s Surfcamp will take care of the surfing lesson.
DATE: May 11th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
LOCATION: Strandslag 12, The Hague. Meet at Tasha’s Surfcamp, the surf school next to beach pavilion La Cantina.
