Blues: Eric Knudson at Corrales Bistro

Erik E. KnudsonFor the last four years, Erik E. Knudson has been a regular performer in the ABQ area where he resides. He grew up largely in Galveston where he acquired a taste for southern music, blues, southern rock, country, R&B...

Erik sings, plays guitar and harmonica and early on acquired a love of acoustic blues music. He writes and performs original songs influenced by "folk blues" and other styles. Folk-blues is described (by as "a type of blues usually played on non-electric musical instruments. It embraces a wide range of guitar and musical styles that thrived in the early days of the music style's gestation."

He is currently working up and performing songs for a second CD of original music that have a more "folk-Americana" sound. His first CD, "Blues Machine", released in 2011, drew more from folk-blues and other styles. It is available thru

Erik also performs the songs of classic acoustic blues masters like Lightning Hopkins, Big Bill Broonzy and Muddy Waters and some more contemporary blues and blues-rock covers. He has been described as a "very compelling blues artist" and one with "impeccable guitar work and a soulful voice" by blues-biz insiders and local promoters.

I don't think there is a cover charge.

The Corrales Bistro Brewery is open seven days a week and has a Lunch/Dinner Menu with Weekly Specials from their 'made from scratch kitchen'. There is live entertainment almost daily. "The Bistro" is located in the heart of Corrales and has been open since early 2007.

The Menu of the Corrales Bistro Brewery is meant to be a fusion of cultures and ideas. Their selection of New Mexico beers and carefully chosen wine list is in itself rare culture in a cup.  Pair them up with selections of quality roasted meats, cheeses salads and vegetarian presentations for a fine evening with friends or making new ones.
